Dr. Eric Ferkel, MD, FAAOS, is a dual fellowship–trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in advanced sports medicine and complex arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee, foot, and ankle. A Los Angeles native, he completed his medical degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and orthopaedic residency at the University of Southern California, followed by fellowships in sports medicine at New England Baptist Hospital—where he served as assistant team physician for the Boston Celtics and Harvard Athletics—and in foot and ankle surgery at OrthoCarolina. Dr. Ferkel has a particular expertise in treating high-level athletes and complex ligamentous and cartilage pathology, integrating cutting-edge techniques in minimally invasive surgery and biologics. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and technique guides, and is an active contributor and speaker at national and international meetings. Dr. Ferkel is committed to restoring performance and helping patients return to sport at the highest level.
