Alison P. Toth, MD, Professor and Executive Vice Chair, Department of Orthopedic Surgery; Surgeon-in-Chief, Duke University Health System. She graduated from Yale University in 1990, Duke University School of Medicine in 1994. She completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center in 2000, and her sports medicine and shoulder surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery at the Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City in 2001. She joined the Duke faculty in 2001. She in her 25th year as a Team Physician for Duke Athletics and North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. Dr. Toth specializes in the surgical treatment of knee and shoulder conditions, especially for athletes, with a focus on arthroscopic surgery and joint preservation.
