Dr. Melissa Albersheim is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic sports medicine surgeon at UCI Health specializing in the comprehensive care of sports-related injuries of the hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow. Her clinical interests include hip arthroscopy, cartilage restoration, joint preservation, and patellofemoral disorders, with a particular focus on the female athlete.
Dr. Albersheim completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Minnesota and her sports medicine fellowship at Stanford University. Her research interests include hip biomechanics and microinstability, cartilage restoration, and knee joint preservation.
