Alexander E. White, MD is an orthopaedic sports medicine fellow at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS). He will be starting his clinical practice on faculty at HSS in the fall of 2026 with a focus on complex shoulder and knee conditions. A New Jersey native, he earned his undergraduate degree at Harvard University, where he played all four years on their Division I varsity lacrosse team. He completed medical school at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and orthopaedic residency at HSS. As part of his sports medicine fellowship at HSS, he has served as an assistant team physician for the New York Giants and during residency was a team physician for the New York Public Schools Athletic League. His academic work has focused on knee biomechanics, ligament reconstruction, and shoulder arthroplasty, with an emphasis on return-to-sport outcomes.
