Dr Athanasios (Thanos) V. Papavasileiou is a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon in Greece.
He is the Chair of European Hip Preservation Associates – ESSKA and member of the educational committee ISHA.
He is also the editor for the ISHA Newsletter.
He did most of his orthopedic training in the UK (DRI, Burton, Oxford, Eastbourne DGH).
His involvement with hip arthroscopy and hip preservation started in 2007-8 when he was a fellow to Richard N Villar (London & Cambridge).
He is well published and frequently invited to lecture on hip arthroscopy and hip joint preservation.
He regularly hosts international surgeons for training in hip arthroscopy in Greece.
