Chief of Hip department (CAD) at Gaetano Pini Orthopedic Institute, University of Milan.
Focused on hip surgery (360°) and trauma. Mainly complex primary, revision and conservative hip surgery, arthroscopic and open.
With a wide scientific production on hip pathologies and trauma he is the Executive Editor of the Journal of Orthopedics and Traumatology and reviewer for different indexed Journals (JHPS, The Lancet (external), KSSTA, Scientific Report (Nature Journal), Hip International, EFORT Open Reviews, Translational Sports Medicine and British Medical Bulletin.
He obtained teaching assignments for the University of Rome and Perugia and has a long collaboration with the University of Milan where he is still today actively involved in the Residency Program of Orthopedics and Traumatology.
He has collaborated with different private entities to create or to implement and scientifically support different medical devices in the orthopedic field.
He has performed, as faculty, more than 800 presentations in national and international meetings, moderating different sessions. He has also organized, as Chairman, more than 30 scientific events.
He is partecipating different Councils and Comitates as EHPA (European Hip Preservation Associates), European Hip Society Sci, Italian Revision Association, Italian Hip Society, SIAGASCOT, OTODI and SLOTO. Past Chairman of the ESSKA hip Committee and AO Trauma Italy.
