Dan Cohen, MD is an orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty training in sports medicine and hip arthroscopy. He completed his medical degree at McGill University and his orthopaedic surgery residency at McMaster University, where he trained under Dr. Olufemi Ayeni. He is currently completing a sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Freddie Fu Sports Medicine Center under the mentorship of Dr. Volker Musahl.
A Montreal native, Dr. Cohen's lifelong involvement in hockey first drew him to the study of hip pathology in athletes — an interest that continues to drive both his clinical practice and research agenda. He remains committed to advancing the evidence base in orthopaedic sports medicine, with the goal of translating rigorous research into better outcomes for active patients at every level of sport.
