Chris Frey earned dual undergraduate degrees in biology and economics from Emory University. Afterward, he completed his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine and his orthopedic surgery residency at Stanford University. He then finished fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Vanderbilt Orthopedic Institute. During his fellowship, he cared for athletes at every level. These included athletes from Vanderbilt University athletics, the Nashville Predators, the Nashville Soccer Club, and the Nashville Sounds, which is the AAA affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. Beyond clinical care, Frey contributes to advancing orthopedic research. His current projects explore artificial intelligence and computer vision to develop augmented reality tools that improve surgical precision.
