Dr. Bradley S. Lambert is an Assistant Research Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital and adjunct faculty in kinesiology at Rice University. At the Center for Human Performance, he leads human subjects research spanning clinical, athletic, and aging populations, with a focus on improving musculoskeletal health, rehabilitation, and performance. His work brings together orthopedic surgery, exercise physiology, rehabilitation science, and data analysis. He has experience with methods such as blood flow restriction therapy, electromyography, imaging, body composition assessment, and statistical modeling, and has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications. His research has explored joint stability, muscle function, surgical recovery, and wearable technology, including validating devices to monitor sleep and mobility after surgery and connecting physiological data with patient-reported outcomes. In orthopedic surgery, his studies include robotic-assisted knee arthroplasty, intraosseous drug delivery, and surgical alignment approaches. He has also conducted biomechanical research in athletes, including ballet dancers, baseball players, and soccer athletes, contributing to performance benchmarks and injury prevention efforts, as well as predictive modeling in sports medicine. Across his roles, he focuses on translating research findings into practical applications in clinical care and athletic performance.
