Dean Wang, MD

Dr. Dean Wang is an Associate Professor and Chief of the Sports Medicine Division at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). He serves as Head Team Orthopaedic Physician for UCI Athletics and a Team Physician for Concordia-Irvine Athletics. He specializes in sports-related injuries of the knee, hip, and shoulder. As an NIH-funded surgeon-scientist, his research focuses on tissue engineering strategies for cartilage repair in the hip and knee, joint preservation procedures, and multiligament knee injuries.
