Dr. Anthony A. Romeo has spent his career in pursuit of excellence in the field of shoulder,
elbow, and sports medicine surgery by pioneering new approaches and developing advanced
orthopaedic implants and surgical procedures.
Dr. Romeo completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Notre Dame. He
earned his Medical Degree from the St. Louis University School of Medicine before
completing his orthopaedic surgery internship and residency at the Cleveland Clinic
Foundation. Next, he pursued an Advanced Clinical Experience as a shoulder and elbow
surgery fellow at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, guided by Dr.
Frederick A Matsen III.
With over 450 peer-reviewed publications to his name, Dr. Romeo actively contributes to the
thought leadership, education, and innovation behind incredible treatment advances seen
over the past three decades. Dr. Romeo serves as the Chief Medical Editor of Orthopedics
Today and the Director of Romeo Orthopaedics.
