Christian Manuel Lozano Lurita, MD, MBA, FAANA

Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the upper extremity, with extensive experience in musculoskeletal traumatology and sports medicine. He is the first Peruvian physician to receive the FAANA distinction (Fellow of the Arthroscopy Association of North America), the highest international recognition in arthroscopic surgery.

His clinical practice is based at Clínica Anglo Americana and SANNA Clínica El Golf in Lima, where he performs highly complex procedures using minimally invasive techniques. He combines surgical excellence with a strong teaching vocation as an International Professor for leading societies including the AO Foundation, ISAKOS, AANA, AOSSM, SLARD, SLAHOC, FILACOT, and AAOS.

He holds a solid academic background, including subspecialty training in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (Spain), Musculoskeletal Trauma (Chile), an MBA, and an MD (Argentina). He has completed international observerships at renowned institutions such as the University of Chicago and the Kleinert & Kutz Institute (USA).

In the academic and institutional sphere, he serves on the Board of Directors of SLARD (2022–2026), is President of the XV SLARD International Congress Lima 2026, and is an active member of ISAKOS, ICSES, AAOS, SICOT, and FILACOT. He is Co-founder and current Vice President of the Peruvian Chapter of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and founder of the Rotator Cuff Study Group.

He is the author of original articles, book chapters, and editor of Rotator Cuff – Selected Topics (2026). He regularly presents at major international congresses, including ICSES Vancouver 2026 and SICOT Kyoto 2026.

His goal is to lead the advancement of orthopedics in Latin America by applying international standards of care and promoting continuing medical education, always with a commitment to innovation, research, and the development of next-generation surgeons.
