Dr. Bishop is currently a full professor and chief of the division of shoulder surgery in the department of orthopaedics, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She is the academic vice chair of the department of orthopaedics as well as the vice chair for finance and compensation. Dr Bishop attended Cornell University for undergraduate training and then Cornell University Medical College, graduating with her medical degree and honors in research. She completed her internship and residency at George Washington University. Dr. Bishop went on to do fellowships at both Mount Sinai Medical Center (shoulder surgery) and the University of Pittsburgh (visiting sports medicine fellowship). She is a member of the MOON shoulder consortium and currently is the secretary/treasurer of ASES.
