Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, Head Team Physician Utah Jazz

Dr. Travis Maak, Professor and Director of the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship, specializes in the surgical treatment of pediatric, adolescent and adult sports injuries, focusing on the hip and knee. He is the Head Orthopaedic Team Physician for the Utah Jazz, President of the NBA Physicians Association, Team Physician for University of Utah Athletics, and Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Utah. Dr. Maak is originally from Salt Lake City and a graduate from Stanford University. He completed his medical school at Yale School of Medicine and surgical internship at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical College. His orthopaedic surgery residency training occurred at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, where he continued his training with a fellowship in sports medicine. During his fellowship, Dr. Maak served as an Assistant NFL Team Physician for the New York Football Giants.
