Matthew Milewski is a double fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. He is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He was previously Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
His clinical practice centers on the injured young athlete and specializes in knee, shoulder, ankle and elbow arthroscopy. His research interests are broad and currently include psychological recovery following ACL reconstruction, surgical treatment of OCD and other cartilage issues of the knee and ankle, patellofemoral instability in the young athlete, and Lyme arthritis. He has authored over 100 peer reviewed publications and is past president of the PRiSM Society (Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine Society). He is current Research Committee Chair for the Research on Osteochondritis Dissecans of the Knee (ROCK) group.
