Dr. West is a board-certified orthopaedic sports medicine surgeon, team physician, educator, and health system leader. She serves as Chief of Inova Sports Medicine and previously served as President of the Inova MSK Service Line, where she helped to develop the program, start an ACGME-accredited sports medicine orthopaedic fellowship, and grow it from 7 surgeons in one office to 38 multi-disciplinary physicians in 10 offices.

She serves as a Team Physician for the Washington Nationals and previously spent 16 years as an NFL team physician with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Commanders. She serves as faculty for the Inova Sports Medicine Orthopaedic Fellowship, Professor of Medical Education at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and Associate Professor at Georgetown University Medical Center. She previously served as Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and core faculty for UPMC’s Sports Medicine and Shoulder Fellowship.
