Gautam Yagnik, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Baptist Health Orthopedic Institute. He is the team physician for the Miami Dolphins and the Florida Panthers and has also provided orthopedic coverage for Super Bowl LIV, CFP National Championship Game, Capital One Orange Bowl, Miami Tennis Open, NHL All Star Game and NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
Dr. Yagnik currently serves as the chairman of the Department of Surgery at West Kendall Baptist Hospital. He is actively involved in medical education as a clinical assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Florida International University and as Program Director for the FIU/Baptist Health Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. Dr. Yagnik received his undergraduate degree from Duke University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He then graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. During his residency at the University of Pennsylvania, he was elected administrative chief resident and was given the Willard Award for the most outstanding resident. He completed his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the UHZ Sports Medicine Institute in Miami Florida where he later returned to join the group in 2011 as an attending physician.
