Dr. Brian Lau, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke University and a dual fellowship-trained orthopaedic sports medicine and foot & ankle surgeon. He serves as Co-Director of Sports Medicine Research, Associate Program Director for the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine & Shoulder Fellowship, and Team Physician for Duke Athletics, Elon Athletics, and NC Courage. He is medical director of Duke's FIFA Medical Center of Excellence. Dr. Lau’s clinical and research interests focus on foot and ankle sports injuries, complex knee and shoulder instability, cartilage restoration, and advanced imaging applications in orthopaedics.
