Dr. Austin F. Smith is a fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery at OrthoArizona, with interests in engineering and clinical research. He notably has interest and experience in automated systems and integration of software into clinical environments; he has written source code for several successful clinical softwares. His research program integrates clinical outcomes research, prospective randomized clinical trials, biomechanics, and technology development to advance evidence-based musculoskeletal care.
