Dr. Aaron Krych is Chair of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN since 2023. He is the John and Posy Krehbiel Professor of Orthopedic Surgery Honoring Bernard F. Morrey, M.D. and also Professor of Regenerative Medicine. He previously served as Chair of Sports Medicine and Director of the Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine Fellowship programs at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Krych is the head team orthopedic surgeon since 2019 for the Minnesota Timberwolves NBA team.

His clinical and research expertise focuses on meniscus repair and transplantation, cartilage restoration, ACL and multi-ligament knee reconstruction. He has authored more than 550 peer-reviewed publications, advancing joint preservation through innovative studies on meniscus repair and preservation, living donor cartilage allografts, cell-based cartilage repair, and biologic treatments for arthritis.
